How is manuscript text processed?
AI requests send the text needed for the selected task to a model provider, sometimes through Chapterra’s backend. The own-API-key mode has a separate provider configuration. Do not assume processing happens only in your browser. Review the applicable privacy terms before uploading sensitive material.
What is free?
